Colleen is the founder of The Cairn Center and is dedicated to offering hope and treatment for individuals and community groups experiencing past or recent trauma, anxiety disorders, and complicated loss. Colleen is extensively trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and integrates IFS (Internal Family Systems), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and somatic based interventions in her EMDR practice.
Colleen has worked in community based agencies; independent and public high school systems in Massachusetts and New York City; hospice and bereavement care; and in hospital emergency departments treating those in behavioral health crisis. These valuable experiences both shaped and directed her on her own path of healing and offering healing to others.
Colleen founded the Cairn Center during the early stages of COVID 19 as our communities sank deeper and deeper into unrest and despair on so many levels. Ultimately, the Cairn Center’s mission is to offer a safe, calm space for healing so that you may emerge with a sense of empowerment and reconnection
